Connecting Through Investor Dinners

It has been three and a half months since I joined PassiveInvesting.com, and I have been able to meet many of you at one of our investor lunches, happy hours, or dinners.

But most of our investors don’t have time to meet us in person here at PassiveInvesting.com. We talk on the phone, email back and forth, and maybe do a Zoom meeting here and there, but we rarely get a chance to break bread together and discuss our lives outside of investing. That is what our investor dinners are for.

Purpose Behind the Dinners

Our investor dinners are designed for you to get to know our team on a deeper level. You’re investing your hard-earned money with us, so we want to do our best to develop a strong relationship with you.

After all, it is called investor “relations” for a reason, and we want to make sure we do our best to treat you as a friend and not just a number. Friends want to build a connection instead of just being known as an email address or a name on a signature line. We want to understand why you got into passive investing, what truly interests you, and what is going on in your life, so we can better meet your needs.

On top of that, our get-togethers offer great networking opportunities and mastermind sessions with like-minded investors in your area. We have had countless discussions on interest rates, fixed vs. floating rate debt, alternative asset classes, and new business ventures. We have received great feedback from investors and non-investors on how they found a new connection or grew their network in new areas because they attended.

What’s the Format?

We typically do these dinners at exclusive dinner spots in the cities we visit. For example, we recently hosted dinners at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, the Ocean Prime Restaurant (both in Midtown Manhattan) and the Westlight Rooftop Cocktail Bar atop the William Vale in Brooklyn, NY.

There are no planned dinner presentations or sales pitches at these dinners. Most of you in attendance already know quite a bit about us, so the primary purpose is not to pitch you on the next offering.

The primary purpose is to shake your hand, put a face to the name, and enjoy a nice meal together, along with a great conversation about passively investing in real estate assets.

Should You Attend Even If You Haven’t Invested with Us Yet?

Even if you have not invested with us, we still want to meet you in person at these dinners. It will allow you to meet our team and other passive investors who have already put their trust in us by investing in one of our offerings.

Attending will give you the opportunity to ask questions to those already investing with us, plus it’s a great way to connect with other investors locally so you can further build your relationships with them as you begin investing in our future offerings.

Should Existing Investors Attend?

Yes, you should absolutely attend these dinners as much as you can. Even if you have been to one in the past, we still want you to attend.

I enjoy asking you how we can provide a better investor experience and telling you about the new projects we are working on.

Bring a Friend!

Like most of our investors, you likely have a friend you’ve been talking to about investing passively with our group. An investor dinner is an excellent opportunity to invite them to join you to learn more about these types of investments.

Be sure to tell them this is not a hard sales pitch dinner event. There will be no selling—only great conversation with great people interested in investing passively, just like you.

Coming to a City Near You?
