J.D. is originally from Clarksville, TN and currently resides and works in Columbia, SC with his wife, Hannah, and their two boys, Jack (3) and Jude (1). He graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2008 with a B.S. in Business, concentrating in Accounting, and then received his M.S. from Liberty University in 2012.

He worked for the Tennessee Medical Association from 2012-2018, and then was hired on by Dan Handford in 2018 to be his staff accountant. He is currently the Associate Controller for PassiveInvesting.com and works closely with the Managing Partners on all incoming and outgoing finances.
